Holy shit, I swear I seen a silver Mazda6 just like this one a little while back. Can't tell you who was driving it, and I'm sure there's a bunch of them in that color out there (because it's fuckin' STUNNING AS SHIT) but it would be a helluva coincidence if it was this couple.

Looks better than most cars I've "borrowed" in Grand Theft Auto. At least it's not on fire, bullet-riddled, and upside down in a creek near Mt. Chilliad while burning to a crisp.

I feel bad for the couple, the 6 is a fantastic car and it sounds like the guilty Caprice was already ruined before the accident.

Saw this same style of damage happen to a 95 supra right in front of me. Guy was pulling out on a green and a Nissan hardbody blew through the light. The driver got out and immediately started yelling at the young sailor driving the supra, so I decided that I needed to stay and talk to the police when they show up.
That supra, and it was a pretty one in good condition (with factory wing and sunroof) was just splattered.

See my update. 91 Caprice ran a red light, Mazda6 owner was a couple on vacation and they bought a new car already.
